I’ll happily take a job deleting all of the amazon book reviews that complain about the physical shape of the book/cost of the kindle copy/shipping time, which then tank the book’s ratings and make people like me skip over checking out books because the gold stars aren’t filled to the brim.

But points to ‘Book Lover NYC’ for the vivid hoarder imagery.

My anecdote to make it all tolerable: Write those bastard phone numbers on an A.D.D.-riddled Korean stationery sheet, write out a pre-scripted intro to read for each call, and have a regroup session between each call by nervously pacing to Miami Horror’s song Holidays. WHY don’t these clinics have websites and email addresses?

What’s worse than an underlined-to-death library book?

(uninsightful) COMMENTARY.

It’s bad enough to have underlining from some stooge forcefully emphasizing where to place my reading focus, but writing in a library book drives me slightly cuckoo. And not just any writing, but the comments and drawings of a 20-year-old idiot overdosing on “LOLs” who had the gall to return the book in that condition. GAH.

90% of the book (seriously. Maybe 20 pages weren’t marked up) looks like this -

Going to have to spring for the $9 on amazon and buy a pristine copy of The Woman In White by Wilkie Stone because it was intolerable to read it in its current state.
