Taste the Tears

Salty Tears

My reaction at the end of the movie Before Sunset. And also when I’ve poured out cereal into a bowl and there’s no more milk. My emotions are all or nothing.

Well, I just cried during ‘Donnie Darko,’ so I couldn’t object even if I were inclined. On the other hand, since I never buy anything that can even theoretically expire -preferring to starve or consume cardboard protein bars- I never weep over unspilled milk.

But movies: they’re like onions for me (I am guessing because, of course, I can’t buy onions, either).

It’s almost a riddle – what food can you buy that doesn’t expire? Unless you only own a giant freezer. In that case, I’d have to mail you some cookies because images of my brother’s former bachelor diet of eating tuna, Ritz crackers and chocolate as a daily meal come to mind, which is no good.
