White Water Rafting Beast

One cool thing that came from that Saturday conference was sitting in on the Casa Colina (rehabilitation center) seminar. The presenter focused on the outdoor adventures it offers to people with disabilities, where it modifies the activities so that anyone could participate in water-skiing, camping, kayaking, sports, etc.  I’m pretty stoked to volunteer, especially because it only takes one full-day training session, the center pays for the volunteers who go on these trips, and it’s on my schedule with no minimal hour requirements per year (being a student, single, and with no kids rules in a big way). I was looking into some other volunteer work options before Saturday, but this one can’t be topped. I’d love to do my advanced clinic at the center this Fall but I heard that everyone and their SLP mother try to get it too, and they only offer one spot. Boo.
