1. Finished that lovely accent modification workshop this weekend! My sister-in-law will be my first client (with a family discount offer of 20%, of course). As a friend said to me once I had gotten home, “So, how does it feel to be responsible for deculturalizing folks in this country?” Pretty damn good, I’ll admit.
2. Harry Potter midnight premiere tonight. The most I’ve ever dressed up for these things is ashamedly wearing for 3 minutes those glow-in-the-dark Harry glasses that bookstores passed out for the different book releases. (YES, I went to the midnight book releases. YES, I participated in the arts and crafts to make a sparkly wand and fill out crossword puzzles that were actually kind of difficult. YES, I have little to no adult life.)
3. Tears for Fears concert on Friday. If they don’t play the song “Woman in Chains” I’ve concluded that it would merit my rushing the stage. The second part of that plan hasn’t been resolved yet, but 3 days remain to think up something.
